Each rents a chair from the owner of the space-the owner shouldn't have anything to do with issues. She orders products, provides rental space, they are Independent Contractors (look-licenses to work are posted).
Lauren does my daughters hair (when home from college) and we are thrilled. Both of us have been through several style changes, and now I'm dealing w HIGHLY resistant greys-oh the fun we have. But Lauren hasn't met a challenge she isn't willing to take on, and my hair always comes out looking wonderful!
I'm happy w Legends. I provide feedback: they use it (occasionally when I ask about a type of coffee
Called ahead and was told that since someone cancelled I could be accepted. Once I arrived, as a 6ft7 man over the age of 30, was told "I don't do boy hair." Just wanted a simple trim and was willing to pay for a full hair cut.
I originally came in for a consultation because I wasn't sure if my hair was a-okay enough to have color done, but we went over what would be best (I was totally open for anything) and Hailey suggested a Pravana Smooth Out treatment for me to start, then have color done in a couple weeks. I came in on my scheduled date and time and we got started right away. I am assuming it was both our first time doing a smooth out, but she's a smart woman (and made extra sure that we were moving down the right path) and did my hair some justice. My hair feels amazeballs, thanks to the smooth out treatment (and Hailey, of course), it took her less than 10 minutes to blow dry and flat iron my hair (versus my usual 1 hour and 30 minutes to do it all) my hair looks a billion times healthier after having it cut. I am extra iffy on who handles my hair because it's such a hassle for me to take care of and I don't want someone ruining it (and I will admit I was kind of nervous and unsure at first), but I'm looking forward to my next appointment for hair color! :)
Karen is amazing! She is a magician with color! I'm very picky and I never have to worry with Karen. She always comes through with a stunning cut and color. And she actually loves what she's doing so I never feel like I'm interrupting her day. It's like I'm hanging out with my bestie and then boom! Great hair!
Finally-when reviewing any biz-it is always exciting to check out those who give EVERYONE a One Star Review. Final advice: pls review US-the reviewers.
I followed Lauren here from Envy (downtown Round Rock) when Legends was born-I honestly can't remember anymore but I believe it was during 2004 or 2005 (possibly earlier).
Every stylist books out-prepare! Lauren, Jean, & Karen have been there forever. I'm not familiar with the newer ones, BUT: throughout (almost) 40 years of professional HCs perms and colorings, the BEST have had me do the following: stand up to check balance, cut sections dry, and even more do all sorts of things because they CONTINUALLY LEARN. IF it is unusual or strange ask.....
I called for a same-day appointment and was matched up with a less experienced hair dresser. The salon was clean and staff was nice and offered drinks on several occasions. I was led into a private room. After my hair was briefly shampooed (no scalp massage), the ends were cut. Then, the hair dresser proceeded to blow-dry my hair BEFORE cutting my layers, which was unusual. I was also asked to stand for a minute while she continued to cut. I was unsatisfied with the finished look, and asked her to make changes, which she was happy to do. She was very nice and open to feedback, but I probably won't visit this salon again unless I have a recommendation for a more experienced hair dresser.
One star off: they had a receptionist and she just left-They are still GROWING! When they realized they needed one the first time, one appeared, we loved her but she moved away due to hubbys work. The most recent ended up starting college-SO thrilling and I know she will be great.
While doing the dance after my wonderful/best friend hair stylist moved away in 1996 (I tried Salon 505, Avant, many others) when my "regular" stylist @ Envy canceled, Lauren appeared-the rest is history.
Regarding hair problems: before leaving, definitely before paying, go into the bathroom, run fingers thru hair-if you don't like it SAY SOMETHING. I have and they take care of it.
If you're curious, my hair is a combination of literally everything. Kink, fluff, frizz, damaged, brittle ends, box dye grossness. Definitely going to have to save up for another treatment later on in the year!
