This place had been the worst rehab I went to. My advice if u love the person that u bringing to rehab, do not go to Cornerstone especially for wound care at Round Rock location if u a flap patient. Because of Cornerstone my wound got worst because I was mistreated and wound care doctor refused to listen to me. My wound got so worst that I need another surgery and had spent another month in rehab. This time the second rehab I will go is a different rehab. I will never go back to Cornerstone. I die before I go back. That might sound a little dramatic, but that how I felt. Don't believe me then go ahead and take your chance. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Worst care ever! ICU was wonderful, after that horrible! Everyone working there has an attitude they do no care about the paitent!
Furthermore, their idea of physical therapy is sitting people up in a chair only. Limited exercises.
When we were informed that this place was no longer going to treat my brother, they made plans to send him to rehab. However, because this place failed to do anymore therapy (respiratory and physical) my brother does not qualify according to rehab standards to go to a full rehab. This place was a waste of our time, and the doctors now have this mindset of kicking my brother out.
Don't come here. They aren't interested in providing care.

My brother was recently brought to this facility because of GuillanBarre. We were told this place was the middle stage before he enters actual rehab, so during our tour, we were told how this place specializes in trach weaning and physical therapy. Well, this seems to be a lie as the doctors have decided that they will not help wean my brother from the trach despite him making process,
My brother is showing signs of improvement, slow signs, but all of this improvement has been his own initiative. If only this place actually fulfilled its promises to prepare him for rehab properly we may be in a better position.
